My new sculpture series "Translate. Learn. Angola. All is about that fear and that love."... are drawings created with fire and peace of my Spirit.... the fire...saturn...
The Earth-born ask me about words, I answered: The pontos riscados de umbanda are complex communication systems of Bantu origin, located on the border between words and drawings. They are signs that tell the story of the soul.
Made during the artist in residence program at the Visual Arts Center at the University of Texas at Austin.

Os nascidos no planeta terra me perguntam sobre palavras, e eu respondi: “Pontos riscados de Umbanda” são complexos sistemas comunicacionais de origem bantu localizados no limite entre palavra e desenho. São signos que contam a história da alma.
